God's loving grace has gathered us from various peoples and continets into a religious missionary community dedicated to the Divine World and named after fim the Society of Divine Word.
(from our constitution)
Our call to Mission
It is in the fourfold Prophetic Dialogue that we are able to recognize “the signs of Christ’s presence and the working of the Spirit” in all people that we are called to acknowledge our own sinfulness and to engage in constant conversion.
Dialogue with Faith – Seekers
Our call to mission is a call to prophetic dialogue to reach out to faith - seekers and to people who have no community of faith, to engage in primary evangelization and re-evangelization… We include all of those people who might welcome an invitation to be disciples of Jesus. “To proclaim the Good News is the foremost and utmost act of love for neighbor” – Arnold Janssen (#56-59)
Dialogue with the Poor and Marginalized
Our call to mission is a call to prophetic dialogue with the poor and the marginalized of our world in seeking to promote integral human development… We help to develop structures whereby they are not merely passive observers but rather active subjects in their Church communities (#60-63)
Dialogue with Different Cultures
Our call to mission is a call to prophetic dialogue with people of different cultures so as to learn from them and share in the diversity of gifts given by the God of Life. (#64-67)
Dialogue with Different Traditions & Ideologies
Our call to mission is a call to be more committed to prophetic dialogue with the other Christian Churches with followers of other religious traditions and with people committed to diverse ideologies… We work together on common projects especially those that respond to the demands for genuine peace and integral human development. (#68 -71)
